Onboard Response

Onboard Response helps oil carriers proactively manage risk and maintain their reputation by providing an onboard, rapidly deploying containment system for on-water oil spills. While inflatable oil boom has been around for decades, Onboard Response’s award winning and patented inflation system deploys the boom faster and safer with less personnel. Boom can be deployed without the need of ancillary blowers or hydraulic equipment. Our unit is stored onboard a vessel to be used in the event of a spill; similar to a portable fire extinguisher but for oil spills. When a spill occurs and the OSRO is called it can take 2-10 hours for them to arrive on site. We provide an operator the ability to rapidly deploy containment, when deemed safe, and then wait for the OSRO to arrive. Rapid containment is essential and it can result in higher recovery percentages, reduced clean-up costs and decreased fines and penalties. Onboard Response can help keep what should be a containment issue from becoming an environmental disaster and help “keep a small oil spill from becoming famous”.
