Our design firm was established by Ronald Francis Barrelle in 1985. Ron was responsible for iconic projects such as the Sydney Opera House Carpark, The Sydney Entertainment Centre and Fairmont Leura Resort.In 1996 Raz Guirguis was hired by Ron as a young aspiring architect to work on a hotel project that was planned for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. After the completion of the hotel and many other successful projects, Ron offered Raz a partnership in Barrelle Partners Architects. This partnership carried on for a few years until, in the year 2000, Ron decided to retire from the firm and hand Raz sole responsibility for the company he had grown.Raz changed the name to Barrelle Guirguis Architects. Although Ron Barrelle was no longer actively involved, Raz kept the “Barrelle” name (and legacy) in recognition of the man that had mentored him and eventually trusted him to carry on his firm.In October 2018, the name was changed to ONE Architecture+Interiors. Today One AI continue to carry on the design philosophy that is Ron’s legacy.
