One Less Broken Heart is a private nonprofit foundation dedicated to supporting research and families with children living with rare diseases. The Founder is also a Father of six (6) adopted daughters from Southeast Asia and his two youngest children both have very rare health conditions, and they are his inspiration for starting the One Less Broken Heart foundation.
One Less Broken Heart's fundraising activities are focused on supporting the much-needed research required to drive the innovation necessary to help children where little or no treatments currently exists. In addition, many parents don't have the financial means to bring their children to Centers of Excellence to receive the specialized care that their children need. One Less Broken Heart is also committed to supporting these families to help them get the care they deserve. The three (3) areas of focus for One Less Broken Heart include: (1) Rare Complex Congenital Heart Disease (2) Rare Cancers and (3) Rare Genetic Diseases, with an emphasis on rare neurogenetic diseases.
