One Region Strategy

One Region is a Joint Venture Partnership of the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG), Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and Charleston Regional Development Alliance formed to strengthen our economy and produce opportunities for all residents by delivering strategies and actions that make a difference in all people’s lives. One Region is currently implementing the “One Region Roadmap: Opportunities for All – Economic Recovery & Resiliency Plan”. Developed as the region emerged from COVID-19, which shed light on the inequities among residents of the tri-county region, The Roadmap outlined strategies within two themes which run through six action areas (listed below) to ensure a resilient and inclusive recovery that enables everyone to thrive. To implement the Roadmap a collaborative model was established where "Lead Agent" organizations have been aligned with each theme or action area and selected to act as a regional convener and lead strategy implementor.
