One Fyfe began over 5 years ago with the purchase and renovation of One Fyfe Beach Bach, located at the popular north end of Waihi Beach. So far we have had the pleasure of helping over 1,500 guests disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with themselves and their family.
Since those early days One Fyfe has grown to include 'small batch' dining experiences and a range of homewares, accessories and more.
It’s fair to say we are pretty obsessed with food, drink and entertaining. We’re also passionate about shopping local and celebrating the wealth of amazing businesses and artisans from across New Zealand. One Fyfe experiences are all designed to showcase some of our best home grown food and drink, and they always take place in unique settings with limited numbers to ensure an intimate, laid-back atmosphere.
Our online store launched in late 2020 and carries an edited selection of homewares, clothing, accessories and more, all with a unique but relaxed style.
From our online store to our bach at Waihi Beach, we’re making every effort
to minimise our impact. We’re learning as we go and we know we won’t get it
right 100% of the time, but we are 100% committed to trying to do better.
We’re proud to have attained Climate Positive certification for our Business Operations and believe we are the first holiday accommodation in New Zealand to do so. To gain this certification we partnered with EKOS to measure and offset 120% of our carbon footprint for our 2019-2020 year with certified carbon credits.
We’re a member of 1% For The Planet. This means we donate 1%
of our gross sales each year to highly vetted environmental non-profits
that align with our values and make the biggest impact possible. To
date, members have invested more than $270 million in environmental
solutions and we’re proud to play a small part in this.
