ONG Interface Action

Interface Action is a Mauritanian non-governmental organization committed since 2002 to improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations, particularly mothers and children, through concrete actions in nutrition, health, education, and community development. Recognized under receipt NFA0140210211202204098 and registered on the FEDDAM platform since 2022, Interface Action primarily operates in the Moughataa of El Mina (Southern Nouakchott), a densely populated peri-urban area with over 75,000 inhabitants. Our Areas of Expertise: ✔ Community and infant nutrition ✔ Maternal and child health ✔ Hygiene promotion ✔ Training of local actors and community relays ✔ Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS prevention ✔ Communication for behavior change Our Actions on the Ground: We identify and treat children suffering from malnutrition, raise awareness among mothers about good nutritional practices, inform the public about tuberculosis, and promote hygiene practices. We distribute food and hygiene kits to vulnerable families, organize free medical consultations for children, and train community relays to ensure local follow-up. Additionally, we strengthen the CRENAM to improve the management of moderately malnourished children and distribute enriched flour (Condi Boobo) to identified children.
