The Department of Health Policy & Management (HPM) at UMD-School of Public Health offers online Master of Public Health in Practice and Policy and Master of Health Administration programs. The online Master of Health Administration (MHA) is 46 credits and provides an integrated curriculum to address the growing needs of the healthcare industry. The program prepares graduates to manage the many complex health-related organizations such as hospitals, health care systems, insurance companies, among others. The program offers courses in leadership and administration, communication, quantitiave methods, health law and ethics, health economics and analysis, strategic management of human resources, health service information systems, financial management of health organizations, marketing for competitive health service, quality assessment and evaluation.
