ONS is a social impact organization that strives to increase the collective wellbeing of Ottawa residents by unlocking the value of data. ONS tackles complex community health issues at the intersection of health and equity using scientific research and neighbourhood-level solutions. Our research is defined by scientific excellence, a focus on support for evidence-based planning and evaluation, and long-term community and policy partnerships. Our business is to: ● Foster collaborations and partnerships across sectors, ● Facilitate access to community health information to support planning, ● Support the capacity of health and social service providers as users of health information, ● Deepen an understanding of health inequities and how to measure, monitor and reduce them, ● Maximize the effective use of system resources for planning, and ● Provide evidence needed by health and community partners that can be put into action.
