Federation of Commerce & Entrepreneurship of Thrace

The Federation of Commerce & Entrepreneurship of THRACE has been founded in the city of Komotini on December 22nd 2014, and represents the majority of Greek-Thracian small and medium size entrepreneurs at national, European and global level. In the same year it became a member of the Greek Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship – ESEE, being one of the 15 regional Greek Federations. Main goals of OEETH include: - Protect the interests of its members. - Highlight the substantial contribution, as well as the significance of commerce in the local Thracian economy. - Highlight the role that commerce plays as basic pillar in the production process within the framework of the new circumstances, i.e. internationalization of the economy. - Know-how transfer among the members. - Building and dissemination of a culture of participation by promoting the creation of representative organizations. - Development of structures that enhance social dialogue. More specifically, OEETH aims at: - The creation and consolidation of union consciousness among merchants. - The promotion and coordination of the actions of its members, as well as the development of the united non-partisan union movement. - The systematic study of commerce issues to the benefit of commercial enterprises and Greek-Thracian economy in general. - The continuous adjustment of Greek-Thracian commerce to the European and international economic reality. - The vocational training of all people employed in commerce. - The networking and adjustment of commercial enterprises to digital economy. The Federation operates in the Thracian area of the Greek Administrative Region of East Macedonia and Thrace in Southeast Europe, a 8.578 sq.m. and 371.208 population area. The Federation is based in Komotini, and it is among to the Entrepreneurship Associations of the regional units of Evros, Rhodope, Xanthi and the island of Samothrace. It is estimated that OEETH represent at least 2.680 traders and entrepreneurs!
