Ooika brings uncompromised Matcha to the U.S. by preserving heritage production methods across the historic terroirs of Japan. The 800-year-old Matcha-making traditions are in danger of being forgotten in Japan. As we lose them, we also lose the unique flavors and aromas of heritage Matcha. We foster personal relationships directly with tea farmers who utilize traditional cultivation methods. By making the stories of heritage Matcha accessible, Ooika aims to preserve heritage Matcha for generations to come. Matcha is meant to be consumed fresh. Our Matcha is milled in-house with authentic Japanese stone mills (Ishi Usu) in-house for unparalleled freshness.
