open camp is a cohort-based coding bootcamp that is designed to be open, challenging, and affordable.
Open: Any learning materials or projects that we develop for open camp will be open source and available for anyone to reference and use. Our live sessions are open for all to listen but only students in our cohort can participate in discussions. Prospective students are welcome to join our community and participate in the process.
Challenging: Unlike traditional schools where you are taught by lecturers, we adopt a flipped classroom model at open camp. You will be reviewing materials by yourself, sharing your findings with cohort mates, and discussing materials and clarifying them with the instructors. The ultimate goal of open camp is for you to complete at least two portfolio projects by the time you graduate to help you with your job search.
Affordable: open camp will be affordable for everyone: the entire Bootcamp only costs a total of USD 600 / SGD 800 for 6 months (part-time, online). To keep costs low, we only use open source and free learning materials as part of our curriculum, coupled with our own set of assessments and materials that we will develop over time. These assessments and materials will be open source and freely available as well.
