Open House Education

Open House Education is a vibrant community for women who are passionate about innovative real estate strategies and collaborative ventures, founded by Kristina Modares. Launching Fall 2024, Open House Education will provide a supportive online space where women can connect, share insights, and partner in their real estate journeys. Kristina is also excited to introduce a groundbreaking course on buying with friends, which will debut in 2025. Her own journey in real estate has shown her firsthand that getting started often requires creative thinking and strong partnerships, which she’s now excited to help others embrace. Before founding Open House Education, Kristina co-founded Open House Austin, a local real estate brokerage. After five impactful years, she transitioned to focus on a broader mission: empowering women nationwide through her new venture. Kristina’s 10 year real estate journey is as unique as it is inspiring. She has purchased 10 homes in total—none of them alone. Her experiences include buying two homes with her sister, one with her dad, one with her significant other, and six with friends. Currently, she owns 5 properties and remains dedicated to redefining traditional homeownership. Her innovative approach has earned her appearances on Good Morning America, and features in the New York Times and Business Insider. Kristina’s own path to homeownership included buying her first house at 25 through collaborative efforts, illustrating her belief that: You don’t have to be married to buy a house. Your first home can—and should—be an investment. You can buy a house with friends. Your first home can be a vacation retreat. You can buy a house and still explore the world. Kristina is passionate about making real estate creative, fun, collaborative and lucrative, breaking down barriers and expanding the possibilities of homeownership.
