This means we match up clients with therapists from their own culture in order to maximize the efficiency of the treatment. according to the national institute of health culturally-sensitive care is defined as “care that reflects the ability to be appropriately responsive to the attitudes, feelings, or circumstances of groups of people that share a common and distinctive racial, national, religious, linguistic, or cultural heritage.”
