[Nl] Het Open BioLab Brussels heeft als missie om biotechnologie toegankelijk te maken voor iedereen. Het is een biotechnologisch onderzoekslaboratorium voor de ontwikkeling van praktische toepassingen die een positieve bijdrage leveren aan het oplossen van diverse maatschappelijke problemen.
De organisatie van het Open BioLab Brussels is opgebouwd rond drie pijlers:
(1) ONDERZOEK. In het onderzoekslabo worden drie onderzoekslijnen bestudeerd: ontwikkeling en toepassing van Whole Cell Biosensors, toepassing van CRISPR/Cas9-technologie op micro-organismen voor educatieve, industriële en onderzoeksdoeleinden en voedings(bio)technologie op het gebied van food-3D-printing.
(2) DIENSTVERLENING. Het onderzoekslabo wordt gedeeld als een open bio-incubator. Daarnaast kunnen bedrijven de expertise van de onderzoekers inschakelen voor consultancy en contractonderzoek.
(3) EDUCATIE. Door het ontwikkelen en organiseren van verschillende STEAM-workshops voor middelbare scholieren en leerkrachten wordt er bijgedragen aan wetenschapseducatie.

The organization of the Open BioLab Brussels is built around three pillars:
