Furthermore, If the new transaction has a defined mainframe or an existing transaction if changed, OpenLayer reflects this change in the browser as well as in API without any recoding. The OpenLayer software provided will emulate it exactly and return the data in a REST API to your application. The same holds true for updating information on the mainframe and iSeries; if data can be simply entered by a user and then a mainframe process is executed (utilizing proprietary IPA - Innovative Process Automation); then the data can be passed to OpenLayer via a REST API to execute the job on the mainframe. All of this would occur with no risk to the integrity of the transaction as OpenLayer simply acts as a virtual user and only receives or passes data as a user would be using the existing business logic. The integrity and security of the server transaction would remain completely intact.
