That means 97% of the World's famers are to varying degrees denied the opportunities to improve their lifestyles and impact on sustainable goals. Exactly the same principles apply to urban or rural power schemes.
It's difficult to avoid the conclusion that basically, green investments make rich people just a tiny bit more wealthy. Oh, and that's with projects that often turn out to be of dubious real value anyway. Personally, I think this is outrageous. Surely we can do better?
We are an International team of volunteers designing an IT framework called 'Open SusFin'. Based on Open Banking technology, it aggregates multiple small schemes (e.g. solar panels, water utilisation/quality), creating low-cost large schemes supporting investment. Every transaction is accountable and traceable with real time monitoring. Investments are also managed on the same ecosystem, at similar low costs, potentially integrated with micro-finance initiatives.
