Open Ventures

Our roots trace back to 2016, with the inception of Open Ventures, a consultancy that advised private and public sector clients in the areas of open source innovation, customer-driven design, ecosystem development, collaboration frameworks, and agile methods. The Open Ventures ethos centered on authenticity, purpose-driven leadership, and a commitment to inclusive and equitable ventures. We believed that "good technology" was not just about innovation but about creating a more equitable world. We sought to work with organizations and individuals who shared our vision of using technology to enrich developing economies and disrupt established marketplaces for positive change. As we evolved, our focus sharpened. We recognized the transformative power of human-centered design and the unequivocal need for lean methodologies in achieving these goals. This realization led to the birth of A3 Human Research and Design, a studio dedicated to crafting intuitive, user-friendly products and experiences that deliver measurable impact through a process of continuous learning and improvement. Today, our work remains deeply rooted in the values established by Open Ventures. We continue to champion openness, authenticity, and collaboration. We strive to create a more equitable and sustainable future through design, research, and a relentless focus on the needs of real people. We have evolved, but our core principles remain the same: we are committed to creating a world where technology empowers and enhances human lives, not complicates them.
