Operation Dronagiri

Operation Dronagiri is a strategic initiative under the National Geospatial Policy (NGP), launched by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) to position India as a global leader in geospatial technology. Focusing on Agriculture, Transportation & Infrastructure, and Livelihoods & Skilling, the initiative will roll out between November 2024 and March 2025 across six districts in five states, including Varanasi, Sonipat, Gurugram, Kamrup, Vizianagaram, and Washim (TBC). Objective: Empower farmers, youth, and women by utilizing geospatial data for localized solutions and direct impact. Outcome: Connect data providers and users, driving economic and social development through innovative geospatial applications.
