opnMe.com is the open innovation portal of Boehringer Ingelheim, accessible to all researchers worldwide. In the spirit of OpenScience, scientists can access well-characterized tool compounds on opnMe free of charge. All research results belong to the ordering scientists, and they are encouraged to publish independently. In addition, opnMe is a great network tool and a door for research partnerships with our scientists. As part of the opnMe collaboration programs, defined molecules, precisely defined pharmacological, computational, or technological questions are shared for a brief time. Researchers are invited to submit novel hypotheses and ask for funding. All ideas are reviewed by Boehringer scientists and upon selection, winning proposals are pursued collaboratively. Last, but not least, our "opn2TALENTS" postdoc grants offer opportunities for high-level talents to propose their own innovative approaches for precisely defined scientific questions and start their careers at one of our three research sites.
