OPS Diagnostics works in conjunction with researchers and companies to provide practical products and solutions to meet scientists’ common needs.
At OPS, we develop effective solutions to sample preparation and storage issues. We specialize in sample preservation and homogenization, including the development of bench- to high throughput processes for end-users. We offer many unique products, including a variety of novel high throughput homogenization items, nucleic acid isolation chemistries, and lyophilization reagents.
Founded in 2001, OPS remains wholly-owned by David Burden, President, who attained his Ph. D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Rutgers University in 1991. A biotechnology consultant and educator in his earlier years, Dr. Burden formed OPS as an outlet for products developed by his consulting firm, BT&C, Inc. Past consulting projects have included product application development, assay development, bio-remediation, and product/process troubleshooting.
Firmly grounded in science, we believe that one of our greatest strengths is our ability to understand our customers’ needs. While most of our products have wide-ranging applications, we will make every effort to customize any of our products to meet the diverse demands of the laboratory setting.
