Opt-4 is a specialist data protection consultancy, co-founded by Rosemary Smith and Jenny Moseley. Our consultants help our clients to identify data compliance risks and advise them on how to implement effective and practical privacy solutions. Our depth of experience, not only in data protection but also in senior marketing and commercial roles, enables us to tailor our service and delivery to meet your specific business requirements. Opt-4 has followed the development of the GDPR from the outset and has contributed to consultations by the ICO and Government on the impact for businesses. We also assisted in formulating submissions to Government from the Direct Marketing Association, the Advertising Association and FEDMA. As the legislation progressed, Opt-4 provided analysis of the various versions of the GDPR text to clients with a focus on the practical impact for data collection and usage. In 2016 Opt-4 was selected by the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing to develop and deliver face to face and online GDPR training. Our consultants have addressed audiences in the UK, Europe and the USA on all aspects of GDPR and other relevant data protection legislation. In 2014 Opt-4 founded the Data Protection Network which has hosted GDPR briefings and in July 2017 published industry Guidance on the use of Legitimate interests under the GDPR. We advise many clients on how to comply with both GDPR and ePrivacy rules, particularly the complexities surrounding compliant electronic marketing communications. We are monitoring developments and advising businesses on the potential impact of the new EU ePrivacy Regulation.
