Opticlean is a brand new sustainability initiative on a mission to clean up the optical industry. Every day, opticians in the UK discard a huge number of plastic ‘dummy’ lenses – the plain lenses which are in frames when you try them on. This needless waste has always bothered me, but there has been no simple way to recycle them – until now.
