Optics Netherlands aims to boost the optics industry by increasing the utilization of science through joint R&D. The Netherlands is unique in the field of optics and opto-mechatronics, with a leading position in science and industry. Within Optics Netherlands we join forces with academia, and knowledge institutes providing excellent research facilities and team up with a world-class manufacturing industry; producing optical innovations for high-precision products like satellites, telescopes, microscopes, and inspection instruments. By joining forces in R&D, developing prototypes and eventually forming product consortia we create a strong Dutch optics community that benefits both industry and science. Our focus is driven by education, research and innovation to increase the impact of optics as a key enabling technology within the Dutch ecosystem.
