OptiDefense Ltd. develops unique laser based systems to neutralize low-lying aerial threats. The systems use a IR laser combined with special beam focusing optics. These result in significantly reduced safety ranges for operation against aerial targets, and allow for much easier operation in urban scenarios. OptiDefense already demonstrated successfully a system that can neutralize malicious balloons along the Gaza border, and is currently upgrading these capabilities to act against drones at increased distances and shorter durations.
