Harmonic gearing, also known as strain wave gearing, is a gearing system that offers improved characteristics over traditional gearing systems. The advantages include zero backlash, high ratios in a single stage, while maintaining compactness and light weight, high torque capacity, high precision, superb repeatability, and long life. Our research in harmonics is aimed at advancing the state-of-the-art in harmonic technology with a specific focus on developing new harmonics for emerging markets.
