During this time Controls and Data Services (CDS) has been involved in some of the most important moments in flight, producing aircraft engine control systems for everything from Frank Whittle’s pioneering flight engines right through to the first supersonic commercial aircraft. Today, as part of the Rolls-Royce group, we specialise in high-integrity, harsh environment control systems and cutting edge asset optimisation products and services. •Our controls business provides a single solution for the design, manufacture and supply of safety critical software, electronic, electrical and hydro-mechanical products. •Our data analytics solutions support more than 300 global customers in the civil aviation, defence, industrial power and marine markets with tools and insight that deliver efficiency. By integrating these two elements, we can offer our customers a comprehensive “sense, acquire, transfer, analyse, and act” capability that supports an asset throughout its full life cycle. This approach enables us to deliver targeted intelligence that is analysed and transformed into actionable information at a faster and more effective rate.
