Optimal support of Visually impaired individuals through inclusive Tests and Tools for testing, training and augmenting Functional Vision
OptiVisT is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovation Training Network programme, funded by the European Union H2020. We aim to enhance the societal participation of individuals with vision impairment through innovative and inclusive care. To achieve this, we acquire new knowledge and, in particular, design new and innovative tests to assess functional visual abilities, and tools to train and augment them.
15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) are employed as PhD students and will be trained as Translational Vision Scientists, thereby becoming experts in the foundations of vision science, technology and healthcare. The OptiVisT network is a collaboration between between 15 European labs and companies in the field of translational vision science and technology.
OptiVisT receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Grant Agreement No 955590.
