For several decades, the Research Group has been involved in modeling, design, fabrication and characterization of optoelectronic and photonic waveguiding components and devices, in different materials, for a wide range of applications, mainly included in two fields, as aerospace and health. In particular, in the aerospace context, inertial navigation, beamforming and processing both optical and RF signal have been widely investigated, while, in the health context, our research effort has been spent on the liquid biopsy, early diagnosis, monitoring of therapies, development of new drugs, containment of the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance.
