Our niche specialty for decades has been to service mid-market clients. We are “right-sized”, in that we uniquely provide the balanced benefits of a smaller-sized firm (boutique-feel, intimate attention to detail, relationship-based, extremely responsive) with the National presence and resources of the 5th largest consulting firm in the country, and 6th largest in the world, through our partnership with Brown & Brown Insurance. Opus partners with mid-market companies by providing a proactive, analytics-based approach to employee benefits management. By employing a diverse group of individuals from carrier, brokerage, and underwriting backgrounds – most of which have been handpicked. Opus has created a unique process of insurance management and cost mitigation that challenges the status quo of renewing and managing employee benefits. We have found that many mid-market clients continue to follow a process with benefit-cost management that has remained unchanged for decades; where the conclusion to mitigating costs comes down to 3 main alternatives: Changing carriers, reducing benefits, or increasing employee contributions. Our process has turned this status quo approach upside down and has led to much lower trends for our clients, year over year.
