FR : ORINOVA développe des nano médicaments en oncologie selon une invention mise au point par deux équipes de recherche de l’université de Franche- Comté.
L’innovation ORINOVA repose sur une bithérapie : chimiothérapie et radiothérapie qui agissent simultanément et de façon synergique. Ce médicament est véhiculé dans une nanosphère intelligente qui contient une molécule de chimiothérapie et des particules d’or augmentant l’efficacité de la radiothérapie.
Ce nano-objet innovant breveté montre un fort potentiel pour traiter les tumeurs solides sans solution thérapeutique satisfaisante comme le glioblastome (7% de survie à 5 ans) et présente des résultats préliminaires très prometteurs dans cette indication.
Outre l’efficacité programmée du traitement ORINOVA celui-ci permet aussi une forte diminution des effets secondaires puisque la radiothérapie sera bien mieux ciblée et donc moins délétère à la fois en termes d’intensité des rayons administrés que de la préservation des tissus sains situés autour de la tumeur.
