Oratory League

Oratory League is a debate and public-speaking organization and company co-founded in November 2024 by Leatile King Baaitse and Asante Aupa Modala. Rooted in the principles of Integrity, Unison and Elegance, it was created to transform competitive speaking into both an accessible educational pathway and a sustainable professional ecosystem. From its inception, the League has offered a tiered competitive framework—local “legs” that feed into immersive masterclasses and culminate in a global championship—designed to guide novices through skill-building exercises and to challenge veteran speakers with advanced formats. Complementing these events is a suite of accredited debate curricula and an expanding body of legislative literature, which together ensure that every participant develops a rigorous understanding of argumentation theory, rhetoric history and ethical adjudication. Beyond tournaments, Oratory League drives community outreach programs that introduce structured dialogue to underserved schools, undertakes research into the impact of formal debate on conflict resolution, and is currently piloting a proprietary digital platform that ranks top speakers, hosts masterclass bookings and connects corporate clients with elite MCs, speechwriters and trainers.
