Greg and Kate Dennis started Orbit (so-called because the client is always at the centre, with space to grow) at their kitchen table seven years ago. They have had great success making more for their small business clients because they understand their clients. They are their clients.
“We both left corporate gigs to do our own thing and we understand the motivations and complications behind the businesses we are helping,” says Greg.
“I love numbers, problem solving and growing small businesses but what really gets me going is being able to improve the lives of my clients. Giving them more. Whether it’s more time, freedom, flexibility or money, the concept of more means many different things. If they are passionate about something then I find myself really wanting to help them do it.”
Personalised business means understanding that every business “more” is different. It could be more time with kids, more funds in the bank or toys in the shed, more holidays with mates or roams with dogs. Orbit handles the time-sapping (but important) stuff so small business owners can go back to being the expert at what they do.
“In our business you get to change people’s lives,” says Kate. “I see what we do as magic, we literally transform clients’ lives without them realising it. We get to play with technology, create efficiencies and see people transformed.”
