The global plastic waste recycling project is failing. Globally less than 10% of mixed plastic waste is recycled.
Experts cite the inability of mechanical recycling - the most common form of recycling - to handle mixed, complex, and contaminated polymers as the rate limiting step in its scalability. As such, a mechanical recycling facility typically yields no more than 10% of useful end product with the remainder being incinerated or making its way into the natural environment.
OREGEN has agreed to acquire a family of globally patented, market ready technologies, machinery and IP that are capable of recycling ANY mixed plastic waste.
