The global plastic waste recycling project is failing. Globally less than 10% of mixed plastic waste is recycled. Experts cite the inability of mechanical recycling - the most common form of recycling - to handle mixed, complex, and contaminated polymers as the rate limiting step in its scalability. As such, a mechanical recycling facility typically yields no more than 10% of useful end product with the remainder being incinerated or making its way into the natural environment. OREGEN has agreed to acquire a family of globally patented, market ready technologies, machinery and IP that are capable of recycling ANY mixed plastic waste. This scientifically tested and commercially proven method will lead to a step change in the amount of plastic waste diverted from landfill or the incinerator. Unique to our platform, we can up-cycle ANY mixed plastic waste and use it to manufacture circular economy, carbon efficient, high-performance, construction materials. These products outperform technically, and compete on price over their life. As such, they are DISRUPTORS. We are currently fundraising to build a new production facility in the UK.
