About organoid-X BioTech
We are a Start-up, focused on R&D in bioengineering. Our values are to increase the accessibility, biocompatibility, and biotolerability of fast diagnostic medical devices working on functionalized nanoparticles. VISION Increasing quality of life means for us an early diagnosis of the disease and the possibility to treat it in a timely and personalized manner. We are committed to providing new solutions in the development of medical devices and products that serve this purpose. Our solutions combine nanotechnology and biotechnology in achieving high precision biosensors specially adapted to different medical applications. The main objectives are to obtain through physical methods sensors biocompatible and friendly with the human body. Our research is focused on the synthesis and functionalizing of nanoparticles either to use them as nanocarriers for drug delivery into the cell or to use them as a sensitive element in designing fast diagnostic kits for different targets (markers): toxins, bacteria, heavy metal ions, viruses. TECHNOLOGIES Irradiated nanoparticles facilitate better functionalization and binding of interest molecules to the surface of nanoparticles. Trapping of nanoparticles functionalized with biological molecules on the surface of microelectrodes helps to develop microfluidic devices. Irradiated and drug-loaded nanoparticles have the ability to increase the production of ROS in cell cultures, which inhibits the growth of diseased cells. Meet The Team Organoid-X is the result of the collaboration between Dr.Eng. Alexandru Arcire and Dr.Phys. Daniela Pricop Alexandru Arcire (Ph.D.) is a researcher specialized in the manufacturing of carbon nanoparticle-based sensors and dielectrophoresis, real-time data acquisition and system designer. Daniela Angelica Pricop (Ph.D.) is a researcher specialized in synthesis and functionalizing of Au/Ag nanoparticles, vesicles and liposomes, photocatalytic treatment procedures and spectroscopic data characterization.
