ORIENS seeks to explore a futurist space basing upon the connective and dichotomous relationships of clothing and body, tradition and experiment, biology, technology and the artificial. Believing in garments as a presentation of the body, it creates for a futurist vision of female sensuality, emphasizing forms and details of the body with cutouts and multi paneled silhouettes to shape, interact and embellish. Founded in 2020 by designer and Parsons student Shirley Tang, ORIENS received in its first 2 years of conception interviews in Vogue US and UK, i-D, New York Times, Metal Magazine and more, graced the cover of Office Magazine Issue 17 and Fashion Canada, and was featured in various editorials in magazines like King Kong and Wonderland. While creating custom commissions for celebrity clients and stylists, ORIENS's first official collection "Collection 001" is stocked with luxury and independent designer e-commerce platform SSENSE.
