Kalea, which means "giving joy" in Hawaiian, is a passionate player in the world of beer, originating in Salzburg in 2010. Through close collaboration with numerous independent craft breweries, Kalea has made a name for itself. The centerpiece of the company is undoubtedly the Beer Advent Calendar, which has been surprising consumers since 2010 with a fresh selection of beers each year and has now become a cult item. The success of this calendar inspired the team to introduce a variety of additional offerings and tasting boxes centered around beer. In 2016, Kalea also launched the first German-language beer rating platform, called BeerTasting.APP, which now features an impressive 150,000 beers from over 14,500 breweries. Additionally, Kalea provides BeerTasting.com, an online marketplace for craft breweries, offering a wide audience access to the diversity and quality of artisanal beers. The company gained recognition through the Beer Advent Calendar, which has been surprising consumers annually with a new selection of beers since 2010, becoming a true cult item. The success of the calendar inspired the team to introduce many more offerings and tasting boxes centered around beer. In 2016, Kalea developed the first German-language beer rating platform. On this platform (BeerTasting.APP), there are currently around 277,000 beers from over 14,500 breweries listed. Since 2023, the Kalea team has been organizing exciting beer events under the name "BeerTasting Challenge." These events are not only found in cities like Salzburg, Munich, Vienna, and Linz but also extend to smaller venues such as the Hochkönig ski resort.
