With the Lisbon area already a very popular destination for golfers from northern Europe, an exciting new brand has launched to showcase some of the finest courses in close proximity to Portugal’s capital city.
ORIZONTE brings together six well-established but unsung layouts to the south of Lisbon in the natural beauty of the Costa Azul region, and one further 9-hole course in Oeiras, just 15 minutes from the city centre.
Among the courses on offer is Quinta do Peru, a host to several European Challenge Tour events; the 7,000-plus yards challenge of Santo Estevão, two Frank Pennink-designed courses at Aroeira and two more challenging courses set within ancient cork oak forest at Ribagolfe.
These wonderful courses are already held in significant regard, being internationally recognised by golf professionals and the golf press, and now many more travelling golfers are set to benefit from the special environments that exist in the region for playing golf.
