Orooj Foundation is a result of a campaign called #BreakTheTaboo which was started by our founder Tanistha Mehta, as an initiative amongst the students of Ahlcon International school in June 2018. She started it by taking inspiration from a foundation Niine India (@niineindia), which is now the support system of Orooj. She used her Instagram handle to educate about how big an issue this is. It was surprising to see a huge amount of response and thus developed a team to carry this initiative under this organisation, Orooj.
