Die ORS-Gruppe besteht aus Österreichische Rundfunksender GmbH & Co KG (ORS) und ihrer Tochtergesellschaft ORS comm GmbH & Co KG (ORS comm).
Die ORS entstand Anfang 2005 aus der Sendetechnik des ORF und steht zu 60 Prozent im Eigentum des ORF und zu 40 Prozent im Eigentum der zur Raiffeisen-Gruppe zählenden Medicur Sendeanlagen GmbH.
2012 wurde die simpli services GmbH & Co KG als Tochterunternehmen zur Verbreitung des TV Produktes simpliTV gegründet. Unter der Marke simpliTV betreibt die ORS comm selbst eine TV-Plattform, die preisbewussten TV-Konsumenten via Antenne und SAT zur Verfügung steht.
Die ORS garantiert Content-Anbietern die Übertragung von Audio- bzw. audiovisuellen Angeboten via Terrestrik, Satellit und Kabel sowie auch IP Services und Streaming Lösungen.
