OSCAR Afghanistan

The Organization for Social, Cultural, Awareness, and Rehabilitation (OSCAR) was established on September 28, 2014, to oversee and run projects to assist Afghanistan, a country deeply affected by decades of conflict. OSCAR operates in various sectors, including education, capacity building, vocational training, Women empowerment, Child protection, health, construction, irrigation, Afghanistan has long suffered from a mentality that discourages ordinary citizens from bringing about change in their social, political, and economic lives. The reliance on violence as a means of protest has further pushed the youth toward extremism. Compounding these issues are the lack of knowledge about peaceful alternatives, environmental degradation, insufficient hygienic practices, and the persistent marginalization of women. In addition, communal conflicts over water resources and the absence of professional research to guide solutions exacerbate these challenges.
