The patent law firm Ostertag & Partner was founded in 1976 by Dr. Ulrich Ostertag. Today, four partners, one patent attorney and six patent paralegals represent our national and international clients in all fields of intellectual property and in almost all technical fields.
The majority of our clients are regionally based medium-sized companies, but we also represent young start-up companies and large concerns.
On an international level, we cooperate with carefully selected law firms in order to provide our clients with optimal support in obtaining and maintaining their intellectual property rights abroad.
Our primary goal is to offer our clients an exceptionally high level of professional quality in combination with tailor-made solutions. We place very high demands on the qualifications of each and every attorney we engage and expect first-class performance in both university education and professional training.
Of course, the main focus of O&P's activities is first and foremost the preparation and filing of patent applications and the conduct of proceedings before the DPMA, the EPO, the WIPO, the EUIPO, the BPatG and the Arbitration Board of the DPMA.
In addition, we also offer comprehensive advice in infringement cases, in which we work closely with specialized attorneys-at-law, legal advice on products still in development, freedom-to-operate analyses, patent monitoring, prior art searches and various types of contracts (e.g. license agreements or remuneration agreements for employee inventors).
