Otara Foundation

The Otara Foundation is focused on improving the lives of all animals in Sri Lanka through its work in conservation and education aimed at reducing the suffering, loss of habitat and extinction of animal species. An initiative by Otara Gunewardene - founder of Odel PLC and Embark, entrepreneur, fashion icon, humanitarian and philanthropist - the foundation gives voice to the voiceless and fosters values of love and compassion at a time those values are fast diminishing and when it is much needed. A core function of the foundation is carried out through Embark; an organisation that improves the lives and ensures the welfare of street dogs in Sri Lanka.
