Ensuring the continuum between data in the field and the cloud is the main obstacle to the massive and complete digitalisation of companies. This continuum is a critical infrastructure that needs to be secured if companies are willing to get the full benefit of digitalisation. The lack of secure and trustworthy far edge solutions for the cloud in the field remains the missing link delaying digitisation and disadvantaging critical economic sector. The Far Edge requires business knowledge and the need to take into account interfaces with existing environments over long periods of time. The OTPaaS project proposes an answer to this missing link by offering a platform: - Appropriate in terms of response time and energy efficiency - With agile and continuous synchronisation with the Gaia-X ecosystem - Validated by industrial demonstrators of multi-sectoral use cases. - Followed by ambitious industrialisation programmes. - Accompanied by a massive campaign to promote its use by SMEs/ETIs.
