MYAIRBAG - Training gegen Krebs GmbH

In Germany, around 500,000 people develop cancer each year. It has been scientifically proven that the “Oncological training and exercise therapy” (OTT®) helps the patient to reduce side effects. Therefore, sports- and physiotherapists must be trained to instruct OTT®. Oncologists need to know where the qualified therapists are based in order to recommend them to the patient. “MYAIRBAG - Training gegen Krebs” is a supply and licensing project based in North Rhine-Westphalia with the aim to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and nationwide accessibility; integrate cancer and training expertise into daily practice and special aftercare; close gaps in care; and establish a network of oncologists, patients, and license partners (=research sites) such as physiotherapists' practices and fitness facilities through digital applications. As the central licensing agency for “Oncological training and exercise therapy”, we carry out certified further training for therapists and undertake the certification and allocation management for these occupational groups. We provide a nationwide network of therapists who ensure personalized exercise therapy throughout the course of medical treatment and beyond. Only through multisectoral allocation and interface management personalized exercise therapy can be guaranteed right up to patient care at home.
