Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition company information, Employees & Contact Information

Founded in 2001, the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition (OAC) represents a unified voice for the urban Indigenous community in Ottawa. Our coalition consists of ten member organizations dedicated to delivering essential front-line programs and services to Indigenous peoples in Ottawa. Led by Co-Chairs Mikki Adams, Executive Director of Inuuqatigiit Centre for Inuit Children, Youth and Families, and Mary Daoust, Executive Director of Minwaashin Lodge - Indigenous Women's Support Centre, our team includes eight dedicated staff members focusing on key initiatives in areas such as community relations, research, project coordination, and communications. At OAC, we advocate at the community, municipal, provincial, and federal levels, aiming to educate and raise awareness on Indigenous issues. Our goal is to enhance the well-being of Indigenous community members by promoting positive choices across various domains, including health, housing, education, employment, and cultural engagement. Join us as we work to empower the urban Indigenous community and promote their well-being.
