Ottawa Cohousing

Ottawa Cohousing gathers people interested in cohousing communities: intentional living where households have their own fully functional private units in combination with generous shared community spaces and amenities. We consider matches that will allow cohousing projects to move forward to success and shepherd formed groups towards the end goal of a vibrant, well organized, and financially sustainable community in which to call home. Aspiring cohousing residents are interviewed, then matched into a group with other aspiring cohousing residents. Groups are then paired up with developers or builders. Development land is secured for each group with the assistance of our affiliate firm RJHill Architecture and Planning. RJHill will also leads the groups through municipal processing, and of course develop the design of an ideal community together with the group. Tools and resources are provided to smooth the path to success. While we provide the liaison between the development group and the cohousing group, we also provide the learning and expertise that the cohousing group will need to form a cohesive and well running community, both during the development phase and well into the future of their community.
