The bi-directional loading test, otherwise named the Osterberg test or O-cell test, was originally developed by Prof. Jorj O. Osterberg, for the purpose of simplifying and lessening the expenses for engineering consultants to test the static load of piles. In 2023, we brought GeoSitter to the geotechnical industry. A new generation of inclinometers was applied to monitor slopes and deep excavations.
