Youth Mental Health First Aid Certified Instructor Virtual and In-person classes We make a difference in our communities. Utilizing Mental Health First Aid USA research and evidence-based tools, I train others in becoming Youth Mental Health First Aiders by teaching adults how to: • Know unique risk factors • Recognize signs and symptoms • Provide early intervention • Help adolescents in non-crisis and crisis-situations As a First Aider, you can be the one to make a difference in the life of someone with a mental health or substance use challenge. Your First Aid actions can be a first step in someone’s recovery journey. Knowledge and understanding of mental health and substance use challenges helps erase the stigma associated with these challenges encouraging more people to seek help for themselves or others.
