This page shares the behind-the-scenes journey of OurCode, a developer tool designed to help teams share and preserve design decisions. Backed by the National Science Foundation (NSF), we worked on its tech transfer from research prototype to startup, exploring how to bring it to market. After over 100 interviews and honest data analysis, we made the tough call to close operations and turned this space into a place to share what we learned along the way.
