houm harnesses the promise of new technology to create a smarter, more efficient housing delivery system and produce more cost-effective, sustainable and better homes. Currently, we are constructing three homes: all of which achieve at least a 33% savings in cost and time, while substantially reducing their environmental cost during both construction and occupation. To achieve these gains, houm innovates in three areas: Our designs rethink the manner and means of housing, so as to offer our homeowners a more supportive environment and establish a healthy relationship between their life and the world around them. To accomplish this, our designs marry the power of houm's unique software system with the deep experience of our founders in design and construction. Our construction approaches marry the precision of robotics and digital fabrication with the efficiency industrial-scale manufacturing in order to realize a smarter process and a product that is more sensible, better crafted and more durable. Our homes are based on the idea that sustainability is not only an environmental imperative, but one that includes financial, social and cultural concerns as well. And that each is as foundational as concerns of gravity. The homes that result consume measurably fewer natural and financial resources to realize and maintain.
